Hotel Reservations

PMA has received several reports that wholesalers have been contacting exhibitors to book hotel reservations for Fresh Summit.  While it is not illegal for a travel firm or booking agent to solicit potential customers, it can be difficult to determine the legitimacy of offers from these organizations. These wholesalers have many different company names including International Events and Executive Events Inc. These companies are NOT representatives of PMA. Exhibitors who opt for alternatives to the PMA negotiated rates may find themselves at risk.

Rooms should be confirmed with the official PMA Housing Office, Expovision, to ensure that your reservations are guaranteed and that you receive the discounted group rates negotiated by PMA. PMA and the official Housing Office can only assist guests prior to and on site that have booked rooms within the official room blocks.

The Exhibitors Fair Guide Solicitations

It has been brought to our attention that PMA exhibitors have received a solicitation requesting voluntary participation to list company information in The Exhibitors Fair Guide. Though this letter mentions PMA and Fresh Summit and/or the Foodservice Produce Expo, please be advised that this publication has NO affiliation with PMA.

If an exhibitor signs the agreement, they can be locked into a non-terminable contract at a significant cost. If you receive a document with the PMA Fresh Summit or Foodservice Produce Expo name on it, please read through it carefully and contact PMA to verify our affiliation.

Official PMA SHOW DAILY/PUBLICATION

It has recently come to our attention that a media company may be using high pressure/questionable sales tactics to solicit advertising in a publication that they distribute at PMA events. Please be aware that while many reputable members of the trade press provide Fresh Summit or Foodservice editions, Fresh magazine and PMA’s Show Daily are the only official publications produced by PMA at Fresh Summit.

PMA’s official show daily is managed by Ascend Media. Please be sure to verify that is the company you are speaking with when fielding any potential advertising opportunities.
